Home Shopping

I always thought shopping off the Home Shopping Network was kinda cheesy but I guess shopping online is pretty much the same. ( except selection is different & you have a dangerously unlimited selection to choose and go broke from) Here's what I got online this past few weeks:

I just got this in the mail from ebay. The color is so much prettier in person. Just washed it but haven't tried it on. Luckily I got that vintage smell out. I think I paid about $30 including shipping. Found this off of the Victoria's Secret site believe it or not. I was looking for a swimming suit but thought I'd browse around because they always have at least one really cool thing. I love the pockets and have been looking for a cool, unique menswear inspired jacket. It was $88 (my swimsuit was $28! talk buying more than what u came for)

Here are some other ones I found on YesStyle:

These boots I saw a woman wearing on the bus on the way home from work. I was eyeing them the whole ride on the bus. It had these gold accents on them and the color was so rich and striking. So of course I went home and just thought I might browse the usual shoe sites for them.

It took me like 5 mins to find them on Piperlime. The good thing about online shopping is you can look for a cheaper price without hurting your feet. So I googled the shoe name and style "franco sarto branzino" and found it for like $130 on this site called

I later saw them on another woman around the same area which makes sense because they just opened a Franco Sarto store at the Embarcadero (about a year ago). His shoes are the best for their comfort, yet stylish quality. The're like Aerosoles and Naturalizer but on more of a Nine West, Charles David tip. hehe.

More from Franco Sarto:

I think I need these. I love the bow!

modern times

lately i've been researching classic icons of the european variety (i.e. jane birkin, marianne faithful, catherine deneuve). there was class, quirk, and quality in the way they dressed. so i was THRILLED when my friend megan j. walked in wearing a nearly identical outfit to one of my favorite photos of french songstress francoise hardy!
megan's version includes a blouse from target, shorts from forever 21, shoes are BC, and the feather necklace was purchased from etsy!

Urban Outfitters coming to Filmore

Wow they must be doing good. They just opened one up in Walnut Creek a couple months ago. Maybe they'll lower the prices at Anthropologie. Yeah right.

new purchases

in the past few weeks i've bought an array of new items. my pepto-pink sunglasses were grabbed off a shelf at forever 21, nestled amongst yellow and white versions. the brown lens with the pink frame was too good. the watch was picked up a few shelves over. the face looks like it has mini gears imprinted in it, and best of all theres no giant logo ruining the design.
the sandals are part of H&M's tribute to marimekko. they're very comfy, and have that gladiator thing going on...
saving the BEST for last: the elliot smith photo book, by one of my favorite photographers autumn de wilde. this was picked up at green apple books here in sf. de wilde's style of shooting is non-imposing, intimate, everything you'd want from someone observing a delicate artist like elliott smith. the shots are amazing, and commentary from the likes of chris walla and matthew caws fortify it with more goodness...

Meet Kate

This is Kate, our guest blogger, who has yet to blog hint, hint! She has an awesome sense of style and an, I could only imagine, wardrobe. She came to visit us in SF (she moved back to NY a few months ago) and showed up in this bee-yoo-ta-full coat by Remy Hall. Check out all the detail. Damn you Kate! We miss u! Check out her blog too here.

Old becomes new again

I've been hangin' onto these 3 "jumpsuits" (ones a sweatshirt material, not shown) hoping that someday they will be back in style. I believe that they are coming back now but maybe not in the same way? Here's what I have been seeing lately...
