Yokoo

I don't remember what me and Sarah were looking at where I seen this girl again but when I did, I instantly remembered being intrigued by her on Etsy. She is so awkwardly awesome with her haircut and glasses, not to mention the poses, oh and the pictures. I found her while searching for a chainlink, knitted scarf similar to the sold out Benetton ones. Anyways, check her out if not for her gear, then her cool pics (which I see she is now selling as well). Neato.

All Cosby!!!

I started to try to collect all the seasons. I think I ended up with seasons 1-3 but quit because it was tiring and expensive. But lookie what we have here...all 8 seasons...YES!

Cute jewelry. For some reason I imagine Sarah's site to look like this since she is an awesome sketch artist.

Sonia Rykiel exhibit in Paris

I love her! Here's the scoop...

Sonia Rykiel’s exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris will be open Wednesday through April 19, 2009 celebrating her 40 years in fashion featuring some 200 outfits. “The exhibit is organized by theme and not chronologically because many of Rykiel’s leitmotifs — lace, stripes, rhinestones, black, etc. — have remained constant throughout her career, said Saillard. Visitors enter the show via a black rotunda where Rykiel’s recorded voice reads some of her pronouncements on style. From there, display cases are dedicated to knitwear, printed dresses, velour jogging suits, marabou coats and slouchy pantsuits — all Rykiel signatures. Each window juxtaposes a piece from early in her career with a more recent one elaborating on the same theme. The second half of the exhibit upstairs includes several windows devoted to large-scale pictures of Rykiel-wearing models by photographer Dominique Issermann.”

And here's a skirt from her I missed out on from tobi.com.

6 things

we were tagged by annie & carlotta to write a list of 6 unimportant things that make us happy. the rules are as follows:
1. Mention the person that nominated you

2. List the six unimportant things that make you happy

3. Tag five blogs and let them know they have been tagged via comment section on their blogs.

being that this is a joint blog, cheryln and i decided to split up the work..

cheryln's favorites:
1. My mother-in-law’s dressing/stuffing. Good for the stomach good for the soul. I can live off this stuff. I don’t know what’s in this and I don’t care.

2. Catalogs of any kind. You can catch me on the train in the morning looking at toy catalogs. Reminds me of my younger days when I used to fold the corners so I can look at it over and over.
3. Seeing fathers and their child(ren). It just puts a smile on my face.sarah's favorites:
4. reading the back of shampoo labels. they promise to nurture, love, strengthen, thicken. but like many promises that sound too good to be true, they usually are. which is why i have at least five different shampoos at any given time. i never lose hope... 5. my rock collection. i have accumulated a small gallery of rocks. some from far away lands (amalfi coast in italy), to unimpressive lands (garage sale down the street). regardless of origin, they are all dear, and i like to stack them in little rock arrangements around the apartment. 6. chili flavored mango slices from trader joe's. don't knock em 'til you try em... and in turn, we tag these distinguished blogs:

sunday leisure

after visiting julian, and delivering him a new toy dinosaur, paul and i came home to descend upon our own projects. i've been working on a three-pendent necklace with vintage star rhinestones sprinkled along the tops, and managed to finish it today!
